Postier de nuit

During the Christmas period, the Paris-Louvre post office stays open as usual 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A mixed bag of customers including night-workers, nightbirds, tourists, dropouts… all come for different reasons ranging from ordinary transactions to matters where vital professional or personal interests are at stake. And as the post office offers much the same services as a bank, quarrels are frequent and conflicts sometimes inevitable – all the more so as the night service is governed by special regulations. Behind the counter, the employees adapt themselves to the situation with admirable patience.
