The filming of a discussion on the outcome of the national steel strike in 1980 between tradeunionists who happened to take part in the action. The film was to be broadcast on the national ITV network, but was withdrawn and shortened. A discussion was added for airing on a local ATV channel in 1981. To protest against this form of censorship, Ken Loach and his producer Roger James showed the film to the press before it was broadcast.
