Natalia and Youri have settled with their children on the Lake Baikal island of Olkhon. In charge of the weather station, they spend time listening to the winds and gusts, whose names they know by heart. Youri has always been a fishing enthusiast. Natalia dreamt of becoming a ballerina and would dearly like Youri to dance with her, but to no avail. Sometimes, she weeps with solitude. Sometimes, Youri regrets never going to the cinema or not seeing other people. And yet… when the tempest blows over the ice, they dance together, in the kitchen, to the music of a tango crackling out over the radio…
