Satyaashi no dukaal

A film on the impact of sustained scarcity on the lives of a pastoral community in a desert region in Gujarat, western India. Made by a collective of 5 people, the film presents the people’s own perceptions of their predicament. What do they see as reasons for famine and scarcity, what do they think should be done. The film argues for the need to look at alternative planning processes, where people matter.
