Sigui 1973 – L’Auvent de la circoncision

A symbolic closing ceremony of the Sigui ceremonies, celebrated every sixty years by the Dogons of the Bandiagara cliffs, Mali, was re-enacted in 1974. Three dignitaries visit the cliff caves with wall paintings about the Sigui. One of them explains the pictures to his companions.
