Winter Adé
One winter’s end, the director boards a train at the place where she spent her childhood and travels through East Germany. The journey is the connecting link between a series of meeting with women from different professional and age groups, in the city and the contry side. Encounters that reflect the changes in daily life and the status of women in the country.
Née à Zwickan en 1947. Etudes secondaires, puis professionnelles d’ébéniste et de kinésithérapeute. Assistante de réalisation à la télévision est-allemande de 1969 à 1978. Etudes de réalisation à l’école de Cinéma et de télévision de R.D.A. de 1978 à 1982. A travaillé au Studio de Documentaires DEFA à partir de 1988. Est depuis 1997 professeur à l’Akademie des Künste de Berlin et à la Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen de Postdam.
