Losing: A Conversation with the Parents
1977

In a mise en scène that reprises the codes of staged “home” interviews, two actors play the role of a couple evoking memories of their daughter and her problem of anorexia. The discussion strays onto the subject of famine in Southern Hemisphere countries. This toing and froing between personal memories and media images sheds light on the mechanism of how social pressure affects private life. A merciless accusation against the consumer society.
