Hundreds of farmers are violently expropriated from their own land. A chronicle of their unequal struggle with a rich banker who wins all legal battles thanks to government support. The last part of the film documents the farmers’ decision to join the students’ Polytechnic Uprising of November 1973 after hearing the court’s decision to uphold the expropriation. FIPRESCI Award at the 1974 Berlin Film Forum International of the Young Cinema.
