Little Travellers on an Endless Journey
Les Petits voyageurs d'un périple sans fin
Farshad Fadaiyan
1996 Iran 20 minutes

In mid-May, the Bakhtiari tribe migrates from the South-West, which has a warm climate, to the North-East of Khuzestan. They travel hundreds of kilometers on a long journey that passes through difficult mountains. A large number of these nomads are children. The smaller children are carried on their mother’s back. The older ones, however, have the important responsibility of guiding and directing thousands of sheep, goats, and the heavily-laden pack animals.
