Roger and Me

Michael Moore
1989 United States 87 minutes English

When General Motors decided to close several plants in Flint, Michigan, the birthplace of General Motors, and move them south to the border to Mexico, 35 000 of the 150 000 residents of Flint lost their jobs within 2 years. Michael Moore, a local journalist, then decided to prick up the camera, embarking on a Quixote-like quest to meet with General Motors chairman Roger Smith and convince him to visit Flint for a first-hand examination of what was occuring there. Roger and me tells a funny and honest story of the many winding roads leading to the American Dream.
