In the centre of Tokyo, in the Sanya area, a conflict which opposes thousands of daily workers to gang of “yakuza” (mafia) who dominate their lives continues. The film is less a report on facts than the expression of a refusal set up by the workers against all the hidden mechanisms of exploitation used by the “yoseba” (a manpower reserve whose origin dates from the Edo epoch): subcontracting structures, complicity between the employers, “yakuza”, extreme-right and police; society’s lack of concern; role and history played by Corean immigration in Japan.
