To what extent
does a creator’s spirit remain present in the objects he has created? The Casa-Museo of the Turin architect and designer Carlo Mollino, an artistic work in itself as well as a former home and the setting for erotic photographs, seems a promising place to ask this question. The camera searches the rooms to find these spiritual traces, while a woman with psychic talents intercepts spiritual waves from beyond the grave. The roles are reversed: the woman at the table, who sits in the place formerly that of female guests, takes over the words of the man who used to invite them. A question then arises: is it not in the female bodies exposed on the polaroid photos, rather than in the products of his artistic brilliance, that his spirit is most alive?
