8e Works-in-Progress / 16 – 19 March 2021
EXPANDED EDITION
9 feature-length documentary projects, French and internationals, at different stages of production.
For the second year, ParisDOC invites 3 European festivals to present 3 projects.
Each year, ParisDoc, the festival’s professional platform, organises Les Matinales, offering an arena to reflect on filmmaking and the specific expertise of diverse professionals. They are also intended as a time for transmission between experienced professionals and the young generation.
A proposition of the association Les Amis du Cinéma du réel
How can we create, produce and distribute films given their widespread dematerialisation?
Cinéma du réel is opening a window dedicated to heritage documentary film and those working in this field – a window for exhibition, reflection and debate. Documentary cinema, as much as fiction cinema, has great authors, chefs-d’œuvre, and a rich and precious history. It is also mobilising remarkable restoration initiatives and collection work that need support. This conference will include two sessions: presentation of 5 restored films and a round table.
